Today is a nice day!
I learned about ESL and EFL topics through presentation of group work in the class.
ESL is English as a Second Language. Most of countries that use ESL, they colonized of the United Kingdom or the United Stated: such as; Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and etc. Both of teacher and student speak English in the class.
For the EFL, EFL is English as a Foreign Language. Both of teacher and student speak native language. In addition, students don't have opportunity to use English in their daily life, so it makes them aren't quite confident to speak English and they worry about grammar very much when they speak English. Most of these countries use English because they want to improve their countries and learn about science, technology, trade, and etc. These countries are China, Egypt, Thailand, and etc.
Teacher who teach English, he/she can adapt game/activity to teach students to improve students' skills such as; speaking (teacher can use role play in classroom.)
And the last, I learned about 21st Century Learning: Pedagogy Perspectives. In the present, many things change and develop better, so in 21st century people must have many skills; such as knowledge in economics, history, arts, math, science, world language, geographic, government & civics, and English, reading or language arts. They are who live on world, both we and people around the world.
We should have life skill and ethic to live on the world happily and improve our country better.
Today, I got a lot of knowledge and it makes me aware to be good person and want to improve many skill that weak. It may use a lot of time and quite hard but these skills will make me have more knowledge, live happily, help other people, and be a good person in the future.
